LISD Attendance Officers / Scouts were recognized for their dedication and commitment with student attendance intervention efforts in Fall Semester. Congratulations to their Attendance Teams and Principals! Arminda Gonzalez - Nixon High School - 2,944 interventions, Sirenia Serrano - Zachry Elementary School - 2,800 interventions, Mariana P. Vazquez - Christen Middle School - 2,751 interventions (not in picture), Noe G. Gamez - Martin High School - 2,284 interventions (not in picture), Eva Palomo - Ligarde Elementary School - 1,151 interventions, and Roberto Arteaga - Sanchez/Ochoa Elementary School - 1,073 interventions.
Laredo ISD to resume classes Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Our awesome Sanchez-Ochoa students got recognized by the TAMIU Literacy Enrichment Center for their hard work. Students had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious donut and savor their accomplishments.
The LISD Fine Arts Department hosted the Mustang Team Elementary Honor Choir Concert on Wednesday evening. The choir performed some classic Christmas carols, while audience members joyfully sang along to their favorite songs and cheered on the students. The Honor Choir included students from Gallego, Heights, J.C. Martin, Milton Alma Pierce, Ryan, Sanchez-Ochoa, and Tarver Elementary Schools.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at LISD! LISD welcomed the holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony along with live performances by school cheerleaders, dance teams, bands, choir, and of course Santa Claus made a special appearance for the children..

Congratulations Dolphins!!!Students had the opportunity to travel the the Performing Arts Complex to view the District Science Fair Projects. Our students had plenty of fun and represented our campus beautifully.
LISD to observe Thanksgiving Holiday
The Laredo Independent School District campuses and administrative offices will be closed beginning Monday, November 20, through Friday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Congratulations to our 5th grade student, Alejandro for being our 2nd 6 Weeks CIS Perfect Attendance winner. 🏆

CIS and NEHS hosted a canned food drive to donate to South Texas. We would like to thank to our community and students who donated to this honorable cause.
