🤟 Celebrating Deaf Awareness at Dr. Leo G. Cigarroa High School! 🤟
Today, we had the privilege of hosting a special Deaf Awareness Event at Cigarroa High School! We were thrilled to welcome students and families from Daiches Elementary, Cigarroa Middle School, and Cigarroa High School for an inspiring and empowering gathering.
A very special thank you to Brooke Hernandez from VAIL (Valley Association for Independent Living) for joining us as our guest speaker. Her message on the importance of self-advocacy and supporting individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing was truly impactful for our students and parents alike.
This event wouldn't have been possible without our incredible team. A huge thank you to all of our teachers and staff members who provided ASL translation, spoke at the event, and worked behind the scenes to make today a success! 💙 Leader/Toros Pride!

🐂💙 Building Toro Pride Starts Young! 💙🐂
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Cigarroa HS Football and Cheerleading programs for starting the day at Zachry Elementary and helping us welcome students, parents, and our community during morning drop-off! 📣🏈
These moments may seem simple, but they make a BIG impact. Creating positive connections with our younger students helps them see what it means to be a Toro and builds a strong sense of belonging from an early age. 💙🤍🩶
We are committed to strengthening our partnerships throughout the Cigarroa HS feeder pattern and creating more opportunities for our future Toros to connect with our students, athletes, coaches, and staff.
Today’s little moments become tomorrow’s Toro pride! 🐂🔥

🎉🐂 FIRST HIGH SCHOOL PEP RALLY! 💙🤍
Our GEAR UP Freshmen & Class of 2030 had such a great time showing their Toro spirit and getting ready for their first high school football game! 🏈📣
For many of our students, this was their first high school band performance, cheerleading performance, ROTC event, and dance team performance! 🎺📣🎖️💃 They were excited, cheering, and soaking in every moment!
As their GEAR UP Facilitator, I am so incredibly proud of their growth and seeing them become more confident and comfortable in their new role as high school students. 💙 Watching them experience these “firsts” reminds me that this is only the beginning of an amazing journey!
Keep shining, Class of 2030! 🎓🐂💙
