Dr. Leonides G. Cigarroa High School honored our very own CHS Veterans with a Veterans' Day Program in the library. The program was spearheaded by Mr. Arnoldo Juarez, Science Teacher, where students and teachers were presented with a brief history and song of each branch in the military. Mr. Obed Pena, Film Teacher, created an awesome video capturing all six CHS Veterans, Sgt. Conrado Martinez, Sgt. Gilbert Gonzalez, Mr. Ricardo Segovia, Mr. Roy Mendez, Mr. Arnoldo Juarez and Mr. Genaro Esparza, highlighting their experiences. Principal Mr. Armando Molina spoke to the students and thanked our CHS Veterans for their service to our country. Our Veterans partook in the Grog, which symbolizes the camaraderie developed among service members, with a special mixture and raised their cups after stating a special toast followed by a sip of their Grog. A Veterans' Honor Wall was also created to honor living or deceased Veterans known by the students. Refreshments followed. Thank you to Mrs. Elizabeth Garcia-Lopez, STUCO Sponsor, Mr. Jorge Casiano, Mrs. Nohely Zapata, and Ms. P. Sosa.🇺🇸💙🐂
