On behalf of the Cigarroa HS Administration team, we recognize and thank our Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC). This team has gone above and beyond to ensure our emergent bilingual students are receiving the best educational services possible. We appreciate their commitment to ongoing training, professional development, collaboration, and decision-making as a committee to advocate for our students. Also, a shout-out goes out to our ELA team! Thank you, teachers, for ensuring our students are working through the Summit K12 program diligently and with fidelity. With your leadership, CHS has become the top high school in the district for Summit K12 Usage!

Cigarroa High School students visited TAMIU and learned about higher education opportunities!


Communities In Schools (CIS) participated in the H-E-B 34th Annual Feast of Sharing at Sames Auto Arena. CIS students helped by serving meals to our Laredo families. Thank you CIS students for your enormous heart! 💙🦃🍂🍁





Our CHS students were able to attend the Gear Up conference with Dr. Rao at LBJ. Students were given several ways to deal with health crisis.

Meet with at least 26 Texas universities/colleges at TAMIU on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6-8pm. See the flyer for a list of universities in attendance. Students and parents are welcome to attend.
CHS will provide transportation for Juniors or Seniors needing transportation. Please fill out the google form found in your counselor's google classroom as limited spaces are available.
